In a blog post I wrote in December 2011, I mentioned that I was looking for a particular vintage Ellen Clapsaddle Thanksgiving postcard. That postcard includes an adorable young girl, in a red dress and white pinafore, holding a wooden spoon. On shelving behind her are two large pies, a covered sugar bowl, a pitcher and a jar of mincemeat.
I haven’t been looking for the postcard constantly since December 2011 but I recently happened to come across an original that was available to purchase! It arrived in the mail yesterday and I’m delighted to have it to share with you here this morning!
For additional creative options, here is a version without the writing.

Very Cute, thank you
Adorable, thanks so much for all you share here. Love it.
So cute. Thanks for sharing. Edna
You’re welcome Angela, Abby and Edna. I’m happy to know that you like it!
Wow! You are so talented. Did you learn on your own or did you take a class?
Thank you, Lisa. I learned Photoshop from online tutorials and a lot of trial and error. Many times I wanted to give up because it felt too difficult; however, I’m glad I didn’t quit. 🙂
