Picnic Basket Clip Art

This vintage magazine clipping promotes the use of a portable wicker picnic basket (referred to as a fruit package) “for packing fruit, game, vegetables, bottled liquids, meat, and any of those things which we put up in the square or oblong crates.”Here is a black and white clip art version of the open and closed picnic basket. I scanned the original article from the November 1879 issue of the American Agriculturist magazine.
