Here is a lovely Victorian ladies’ hat clip art image. The description for this hat, from the magazine I scanned the image from, is as follows: “This picturesque hat is formed of fine gray straw. A trifle below the edge on the outside of the brim is a narrow fold of velvet a shade darker than the straw, and a rosette-bow of grosgrain ribbon showing both shades is placed on the crown at the left side of the front, concealing the stems of a bunch of ox-eyed daisies and green leaves. The shape may be had in various colors, and by wiring the brim its broad curves may be altered to suit any face or fancy.”
The image is from the October 1889 issue of The Delineator magazine.
