I love digital scrapbooking! One of my favorite things to have on hand when I am creating a layout is an open book with blank pages. Blank pages are so versatile – you can fill them with images and/or text on virtually any subject!
This is a layout I created a few years ago using an open-book design. I’ve used an open book for many different subjects but in this case, my layout is a tribute, in memory of my paternal grandmother, Baba, who was a kind, loving woman, one of my favorite people, and a wonderful role model.
Credits for this scrapbook layout are follows: Katie Pertiet’s digitally pressed petals; Ronna Penner’s background, photo corners, and open book. Ronna is one of my all-time favorite digital scrapbook designers but she has retired from designing; Trish Jones’ bouquet and Paula Duncan’s aged tape. I don’t know if Trish Jones or Paula Duncan are still designing; I did a quick Google search but I’m unable to find them to link to their products.
The digital scrapbook market has grown incredibly since I began the art in January 2005. Now I have several favorite designers and there are so many gorgeous, quality digital scrapbook designs to choose from!
Today I’m sharing with you an open book with blank pages for you to fill with memories of your own. You may also extract this open book and use it for your designs. Click on images to enlarge.
I’ll include the open book with the original images for you as well, which you may also use for your crafts or designs. The book is titled. “Under the Window”, by Kate Greenaway, from my personal collection of antique books that are in the public domain.
Have a marvelous day!

What a great idea, hadn’t thought of this before. I bought myself a Kate Greeanway book (circa 1890) couple of months ago and love it ie. “The Langauge of Flowers”. You were my motivation to buy :-)))))) Low and behold I bought it too right here in Australia.
Cheers

Yay(!!) Pauline, that is so exciting and a nice bonus that you didn’t have to pay extra shipping, duty and/or customs to have your “new” book shipped internationally! 🙂
