The Baby Birds
I took another picture of the baby birds today. I haven’t seen them since I last took pictures on June 10th and I was surprised to see how much they’ve grown and changed in such a short time. The baby birds were napping when I took my few quick pictures today so I didn’t get a shot of them with…

All Eggs Have Hatched
All of the robin’s eggs have hatched! There are three newborn robins curled up in this little ball of fluff. I took these pictures yesterday. I wasn’t able to get a shot of all three babies searching for food at the same time, but I did get two with their mouths open at once. If what…
It’s a Baby Robin!
According to the information I read on the internet, I wasn’t expecting to see a baby bird until approximately June 14th – two weeks after the last robin’s egg was laid. Ken peeked in the nest two days ago but not yesterday. He peeked again today and discovered one baby robin! It’s so tiny, so helpless and so weak….
Vintage Graduation Card
This month my granddaughter, Ashley, graduates from high school. My sister, Darlene, graduates from a Bachelor of Social Work program (I don’t know if I’m wording that correctly) this month as well. We will be attending parties to celebrate both grads. Because it is the season for graduations, I chose this vintage card for you from my collection of public…
Update on the Robin’s Nest
Our robin laid four eggs. Ken peeked in the nest today and discovered that there are now only three eggs. We don’t know what happened to the fourth egg but we’re wondering if it was eaten by another bird. However, if it was another bird, how is it that the other three eggs were not eaten or broken? I hope the remaining eggs…
Four Eggs
Our robin laid one more egg today! She isn’t leaving her nest much but when I returned home from work, she flew to the roof of the neighbor’s shed. It’s only a few feet away so I had an opportunity to see her in full view. She looks very thin so I’ll be suprised if she lays another…

And Now There Are Three
Our robin laid one more egg today! Events are unfolding just as I learned they would from my internet search the other day. An egg a day and mommy robin is spending more time in her nest each day. The articles I read said three to five eggs. I guess we’ll find out tomorrow if there will be more than three or if…
Then There Were Two
I took this photo yesterday, after our robin laid her second egg and left her nest for a while.
One Beautiful Blue Robin’s Egg!
Ken and I went out for a bit. When we left, “our” Robin was in her nest. When we returned, she was gone. Ken peeked into the nest and discovered that she laid one egg! I googled to learn more about robin’s nests and eggs. I learned that the female robin will lay one egg each day for a total…
