Here are three vintage clip art illustrations of sea creatures.
The first illustration features the Heart-Cockle (Cardium cardissa). A Spiral Heart-Cockle (Isocardia cor.) and a Tuberculated Cockle (Cardium tuberculatum) are included in the image.
The second illustration features illustrations of a Broad-Claw Porcelain Crab (Porcellana platycheles) and a Common Plated Lobster (Galathea strigosa).
The third illustration features a striped fish swimming in the ocean. The scientific name of this fish is Semilunar Holocanthus (Holocanthus semicirculatus)
I scanned the illustrations from Wood’s Illustrated Natural History – Reptiles by Rev. J. G. Wood.
I scanned several additional illustrations from the book to create a printable set of vintage sea creatures for my Etsy shop. Both the printable pages and the individual files are included.
