The girl has received the gift of a new doll in a red dress that she is cradling in her arms while she watches her brother take a toy pocket watch from his blue stocking. The girl has a matching blue stocking which is filled with toys and tucked under her arm beside her doll. The boy has received a gift of a red and yellow toy truck that is on the floor by his feet. The postcard is signed by the artist, Ellen H. Clapsaddle. The message on the card is, “Hearty Greetings for Christmas”.
