Here is a black and white clip art image of a vintage circus trick rider who is seated, at the moment of this sketch, at the edge of one side of the horse’s back that he’s riding. It seems the rider would fall off the horse from this position but he looks calm as he turns back and holds out his hat, presumably to signal applause from the audience.
