Austin Going to the OR

December 29, 2012 4 Comments

My daughter took this picture of Austin and his dad, Ian, in the elevator on the way to the operating room about an hour ago. Ian is gowned up because he was allowed to stay with Austin until he was asleep. Austin was in good spirits this morning. He is looking forward to being able to bathe and swim, two things he hasn’t been able to do with the LVAD. 564483_10151346527436480_1178601333_n(It was about 11:15 a.m. that Austin went in to the OR.)

I am so glad that this gift of life is coming to Austin. I have been praying for the Drs, the donor family and your family. I have experience with transplantation and I know that it’s a watch and see situation. God is good. He is with you all.

Thank you Joyce, thank you so much. I hope your experience with transplantation has been a successful one.

I posted another update about the same time you posted your comment G-Ma. 🙂 Thank you for your prayers.
