Ken and I have made a huge decision that will change things for me/us in a big way! We’ve decided that it’s time for me to work at my business full time! I submitted my notice of retirement from the Department of Justice yesterday. My last day will be June 6th, 2012, a few days after my 10th anniversary with the department. I work with a wonderful bunch of people, that have become friends, and I will miss them, but otherwise, I am anxious to turn the page. There isn’t much room for my creative side to breathe in the legal field!
I’ll qualify for a bit of a pension so I gave a lenghty notice which allows time for the paperwork to be processed before I leave (it’s federal government and that process takes about 3 months).
This is my dream come true!

Thank you Anna! It is a big decision for sure and we didn’t make it lightly. We don’t carry debt (other than a bit of mortgage left) and we have savings so that all helps when it comes time to make a decision like this.
Congrats, Julie! A very big step! My DH was an attorney 30+ years before he retired and you’re right; it doesn’t leave room for much else! Very excited for you!
