The chubbier bird was cleaning herself (or himself?) on the fence post early yesterday morning. Contrary to what I was beginning to think, she (or he) does have two legs and two feet. The babies go into hiding mode instantly when we peek in on them now.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads! I adored my dad. He was the center of my universe until he, sadly, went to live in heaven when I was seven. This picture is of my young dad holding me when I was only a few weeks old. It looks like he’s afraid I may break.
