Dear Blog Readers,
It is with a very sad heart that I’m here to tell you that my precious sister, Marilyn, who is one of my closest and dearest friends, passed away unexpectedly through the night. Marilyn was only 51 years old and the cause of her death is unknown. I’m suspecting a heart attack or perhaps a stroke but an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause. Ken and I are going to spend some time with Marilyn’s husband and children and I’ll be away from blogging for a while.

Hi Julie, so sorry for your loss, I too lost a very dear sister on the 3rd of july, this month, who also passed away in her sleep, we are devasted! trying to just get on with things now…missing her so much, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I would also like to thank you for the beautiful graphics that you so generously provide us with, I use many for my cards…which are always very well received.

Julie (@ follow your heart woodworking), this has definitely been quite the year for our family. God promises not to give us more than we can bear and He is continually faithful to give us the strength we need to get through the sad and difficult times but I am longing to return to a normal, quiet, uneventful life.
A viewing of Marilyn’s body was held for family and close friends on Tuesday, July 23rd followed by a Celebration of Life at Marilyn and Cleve’s acreage on Friday, July 26th. It was a beautiful day and many people attended to pay their last respects to my sweet sister. Marilyn had a big heart; she was one of the kindest and most generous people I’ve had the privilege of knowing and she touched many lives. Marilyn was also one of the funniest people I’ve ever known. It’s been a pleasure to have had her in my life for her 51 years and I am left with many beautiful memories of happy times and funny moments that I will cherish for the rest of my days.

Thank you so very much, Wendy. It’s hard to imagine that it’s already been 19 days since my sister Marilyn passed away. She’s in my thoughts often during the day, I dream of her and I wake up through the night thinking about her. It’s still hard to believe that she’s really gone but I believe she is in heaven, with God and loved ones that have gone before us, including our grandparents and our mom and dad. And I believe I’ll get to see her again one day.
So sorry for your loss. My sister is my best friend also. She has ailing health and when she passes I don’t know what i will do.
