These are scans of the front and back free endpapers from my antique copy of Mother Goose’s Nursery Rhymes, published by McLoughlin Brothers, circa 1900. The book is one of the poorest quality in my personal library of antique books. It is brittle and fragile, falling apart, has a ton of foxing, some staining and warping throughout. None of these features are desirable to serious antique book collectors but they do provide some wonderful grungy design opportunities for graphic artists!
