I’ve been experimenting with AI art recently. Some of the art I’ve generated turns out beautifully, with little editing required, some of the art requires extensive editing, and some of the art I’ve generated turns out too unrealistic or would require such extensive editing that it gets tossed to the “scrap bin”. Today I’m sharing a few of the images I’ve generated, that turned out nicely, and that required little editing.
These AI Christmas clipart images I generated (and edited) from my results of experimenting with AI art may be used commercially, as per the terms of use for the scanned vintage images I share on my site. You can find those terms here.
Some new Christmas listings available in my Etsy shop are as follows:

You did a beautiful job with these, my husband has been dabbling in all that stuff with his pictures, I wouldn’t even know where to start 🙂
Julie J
Thank you Connie. That’s neat you’re husband is dabbling in it. It’s so much fun that a person can easily lose track of time. ?
wendy kendall
Thank You. The 3 images you shared are lovely.
Julie J
Thank you Wendy. I’m happy to know you like them.?
Angela
Three lovely images – love that candle and berries! I must admit I haven’t even looked at AI art yet. I get a lot of images from free image sites and these seem to be flooded with images that look as if they are straight out of Disney, however I downloaded a candle the other day that turned out to be AI art so perhaps I should find out what it’s all about ?
Julie J
Thank you Angela. I’m happy to know you love the candle and berries image.
I started by asking another designer I know on Etsy if she was using AI to create some of her digital art. She confirmed she was, and proceeded to share detailed, and excellent, pointers. Then I watched a lot of YouTube videos on the subject before I felt confident enough to give it a try. You can get all the information you need to get started from YouTube tutorials. ?
Helen Joan Edwards
Thankyou Julie for these beautifully generated Christmas images—you`re very clever and also very generous. Have a peaceful happy Christmas.
Kind regards, Helen Edwards.
Julie J
You’re most welcome, Helen. And you are very sweet. A very happy Christmas to you also. ?
Chelsea Johnson
Wow – these are beautiful designs for the season! Thank you for sharing them!
Julie J
You’re welcome Chelsea. I’m happy to know you like them! ?
Debbi
Wow, very nice! Can I ask what site you use? There are so many with different options.
Julie J
Thank you Debbi! ? Sure… I signed up to a subscription plan with Midjourney (through Discord). If you are unfamiliar, you can find YouTube videos to show step-by-step how it’s done.
Mommyrox
LOVE them! You did a beautiful job; more please! 🙂
Julie J
Thank you Mommyrox! I’m happy to know you love them! And thank you so much for letting me know you’d like to see more. I’m having so much fun with the AI art and I would love to share more in future posts! ?
Kathy
Your images look great! Thanks for sharing them with us.
I have a question, is AI the reason I’ve been seeing some vintage looking images on Etsy that look just too perfect? The ones I’m talking about are children with vintage clothing but their faces look nothing like the old ones. I’ve wondered about them for a while now, but I know nothing about AI.
Yours look good.

Thank you Kathy, and you’re most welcome for the images.?
While I can’t speak for other designer’s work, I will say that when I’ve tried creating images of people in Midjourney (the AI program I use), the faces are flawless and are, as you say, “just too perfect”.
Judy Howle
Hi. Which AI app do you use? Is it easy to use?
Thanks,
Judy Howle

Never mind, I see you are using Midjourney. I guess it’s really popular but looks kind of hard to learn.

Hi Judy,
You’re right, I am using Midjourney. It’s the only one I’ve tried so I don’t have anything to compare it to. The only other AI programs I’ve heard of are DALL-E and Leonardo. Perhaps you may find one of those less difficult. Regardless of which one you try, I do recommend finding some YouTube tutorials to help with the learning process.
