This vintage check, dated September 3, 1893, in the amount of $225.00, is made out to the Bullion & Exchange Bank on behalf of the California-Nevada Creamery Company. On the left hand side of the check is an illustration, in green ink, of cows and calves in a pasture.

Thank you very much for this nice “vintage” check. I like the colors very much as well as the special design.
What I would like to know is right because of my curiosity … is this check a real one? Sorry to ask but usually these checks are handwritten and not typed. Also, the shorted form of “September” is more a new style with a shortened form …

Yes, this is a scan of a real check from my personal collection of vintage ephemera. Sometimes you can find others from the same company and time frame with the typing.
