Apology re: Friday’s Freebie Bird Illustrations

I would like to apologize for the errors I made in regard to the vintage bird illustrations I shared on my blog on Friday.

My first mistake was to identify the birds as robins. It was kindly brought to my attention by a blog reader that the birds were actually song sparrows. After confirming the birds were song sparrows, I changed the references in my blog post from “robins” to “song sparrows”. I also renamed the original image files to song sparrows, deleted the image files titled “robins” and replaced them with the renamed images titled “song sparrows”. What I did not realize was that my blog subscribers who received the bird illustrations by e-mail on Friday would receive an error message when trying to download the images from the e-mail after I replaced the image files.

The original illustrations, now correctly titled “song sparrows” are available in Friday’s blog post. Rather than sending out a duplicate e-mail, may I please ask that if you are interested in downloading the free bird illustrations, you visit Friday’s blog post and download them directly. The link is: https://olddesignshop.com/2019/03/song-sparrows-spring-vintage-bird-clip-art/

I sincerely apologize for my errors and for the inconvenience this has caused.

~ Julie

Thanks for letting us know, but me being a graphic hoarder , I already figured it out!! Lol!
I just went to your blog and found the cutest bird drawings that I’ve ever seen! They are drawings, right?
Thanks for all you share with us.

    1. Hi Kathy!

I’m happy to know you figured it out and found the files to download. 🙂 At this point, I’m almost afraid to say whether or not I think they are drawings, engravings, etc. They are vintage images I scanned from an antique magazine. 😉 LOL

      1. Whatever they are I made one my desktop background! It’s perfect for that, simple and pretty at the same time.
        Thanks Julie!

        Kathy
