I scanned the original illustrations of the Buff Cochin chickens from The Illustrated Stock Doctor. The book was published in 1881.

That’s neat, Connie. One of my aunts raises chickens. She lives several hours away from me so I don’t get a chance to enjoy her chicken’s eggs often, but I very much enjoy them when I do. 🙂
