Here is a pink vintage pharmacy label for Dr. Lochman’s Witch Hazel Liniment. The liniment was recommended to take internally for a variety of ailments, such as: colds, coughs, sore throat, croup, dysentery and colic. The liniment was also recommended for external use for burns, scalds, bruises, strains, punctured and lacerated wounds, insect stings, animal bites, rheumatism, neuralgia, frost bite, etc. Even though the witch-hazel liniment contained 50% alcohol, the label includes recommended doses for both adults and children.
