This vintage magazine clip art features an advertisement for sale prices on Victorian women’s clothing, including: suits, skirts, jackets, traveling dresses, rain coats, etc. The ad was designed for the National Cloak and Suit Company of New York City, a company that took pride in not selling ready-made clothing but making every garment to order. The advertisement includes an illustration of a Victorian lady in a pretty dress and large hat. She is carrying a white parasol with ruffled trim.
I scanned the original advertisement from the June 1904 issue of The Delineator magazine.

Connie, I can’t imagine it being comfortable in the least. I’m thankful that it’ isn’t our “norm” for ladies wear in our time!

I’m happy to know you love it, Pat. It definitely is nice to be able to breathe in the clothing we wear. 🙂
