Here is a Victorian clip art advertisement for Marie Antoinette face powder which was manufactured by the Crown Perfumery Co. An illustration of the elegant ornate box the face powder was packaged in is included in the ad. The price of the powder was 50 cents a box.
I scanned the original advertisement from the May 1899 issue of The Ladies’ Home Journal magazine.

FYI: 50 cents was a pretty high price in 1899. It must have been a high quality product, indeed. Thanks for sending it. JT

Good point Judy! I think a day’s wage back then was about 25 cents. 🙂

Ohhh, Sherri, if only I would have known. I would have posted this ages ago! I am so very happy to know that you’re enjoying the latest vintage images that I’ve been posting. I have time these days to post more and I’m absolutely loving it. I wake up every morning excited to “find” something new to scan, work on and share! 🙂
