Here is a beautiful vintage clip art illustration of a yellow rose with a rosebud and a few leaves growing from the stem. The caption below the illustration labels this a Marechal Niel Rose.
I scanned the original illustration from Familiar Garden Flowers, circa 1897, by F. Edward Hulme.

Yellow roses have always been my favorite! I carried 3 with babies breath on my wedding day and my two attendants each carried one. It was very understated. The yellow rose was also my maternal grandmothers favorite flower. Thank you so for today’s image!

That sounds lovely TerriSue. Often simple and understated is the most beautiful of all. 🙂
