This beautiful vintage French seed label features an illustration of four colorful flowers. The description on the label is Belle de Nuit Variee which, according to an online translation, is Beautiful Night Variee in English although I’m guessing Variee can further be translated to Variety. When researching the name of this flower, I was fascinated to learn that some flowers only bloom at night.Â
This type of vintage seed label would have been pasted on a seed packet or jar of seeds for retail sale.
