I will be back with more vintage images to share with you but it may be a few days. Something in the tower of my computer “died” and I don’t have access to Photoshop on any other platform to be able to work on the graphics. My nephew is a computer technician and is going to help me with this but he isn’t available until the weekend.

I hope you get it fixed soon! I love getting your posts every day or every other day and love all of the vintage images you post.. I save almost every one and have used several already for my cards. Thank you for everything you do!
virginieb
I lve your vintage images !
so I hope you’ll be back soon !!!
Have a nice week end
Sharon
Julie, I hope this gets fixed for you soon, as I really enjoy your daily emails with fascinating images. I lost ready access to the old Photoshop installed on my old XP tower, but found that GIMP is a great FREE program that is compatible with my laptop. It is arranged a bit differently, but has amazing tools for image work.

Best wishes for a speedy computer recovery!!!
Gayle
hope you get nice and recharged during your time away. Enjoy your sabbatical!
Maureen
I feel your pain! when computers go wonky, life seems to stop. Have a good weekend and godbless nephews like yours! Maybe he can also widen the center blog panel here so text doesn’t run over for you.
Bev
Hi Julie! Thanks for all the hard work you do on our behalf!! Hope your computer is up and running soon. Regards from Down Under. Bev
Deanne
you are worth waiting for… many thanks for your regular emails. Hope you aren’t suffering withdrawals without your computer LOL
Poodle Dabbert
so thankful you have a nephew with talent! A break from the computer is good… sometimes.. reminds us of the vintage days when we moved more! Thanks for all your shares. It’s appreciated MUCHO.
Janet Van Rossen
Fingers crossed you get things fixed. Thank you so much for the daily inspiration, I do appreciate it very much.
Pat
Sorry about your computer that is my worst nightmare more for what I will loose if it crashes. I will miss your emails, thank you for all the treasures you send us.

Marilyn, it’s great to know that you’ve been able to use several of the vintage images for your cards.
Virginie, it looks like I won’t have my computer back until Monday. I hope you’re having a nice weekend as well!
Sharon, thank you for the great advice about GIMP but I only have an old, small laptop and I don’t trust the monitor colors to be accurate.
Thank you Paula.
Gayle, I’m getting some spring cleaning done. 🙂
Maureen, I have plans in the works for a different blog set up, including a wider center blog panel. I hope you’re having a great weekend as well.
Bev, I’m happy to know that you’re enjoying the images. Only a couple more days – I hope they go by quickly!
Deanne, thank you, that is kind of you. I feel lost without the ability to work on the graphics and I am suffering withdrawals. 🙂
Poodle, I’m so thankful that my nephew is able to help me. I’m completely lost when it comes to that part of the computer world.
Janet, my fingers are crossed too.
Pat, it’s a scary thing. It would be nice if there was an inexpensive and automatic way to backup files on a daily basis.
Gayle
Julie, there’s a free program called SyncToy that will back up your files to an external hard drive. EHDs are much more affordable now, and it’s not difficult to backup to two of them for more peace of mind. It just takes a couple of seconds to hit “run” at the end of each work session.
Manu
OH Julie, I hear you. I hope you get it fixed soon. Fingers crossed.
I always afraid that happens to me too, don’t know what I would do.
Good luck and big big big thanks for the amazing vintage images you post, it’s so much appreciated 🙂
Hugs
Yvonne
Oh no, awful when that happens! Hope you get it sorted soon 🙂
Lisa Sherman
Thanks so much for the heads up. I love having access to your images and really appreciate the work you do to allow people to use them. Sorry for your computer issues. Hope they get fixed without much stress.
Sincerely,
Lisa Sherman
Someday soon I will send you an example of what I am trying to accomplish with my art!
Julie J
Gayle, thank you for the information about SyncToy – I’ll definitely be looking into that.
Manu, thankfully I was lucky this time. As far as I can tell so far, it seems that my nephew was able to save all of my important things. I had so much on the computer that it may take me a few days to figure out if I’ve lost anything.
Thank you Yvonne. A week without being able to work on my graphics felt like an eternity but it feels good to have things sorted.
Lisa, I’m happy to know that you’re enjoying the images and I would love to see your art!
