This adorable vintage valentine features a yellow teddy bear putting a scoop of strawberry ice-cream onto a cone. The message on the card is: What a “scoop” to have a Valentine like you! This illustration is from a valentine book that was published in the 1940s; it was not copyrighted.

Does this ever bring back memories! Thank you! :0)
I just discovered your site through Etsy! Was looking for some vintage sheet music. I LOVE your site and have signed up to follow you. I love your images. This one, for me anyway, brings back such memories of my childhood in school when we exchanged these types of Valentines. Thank you so much!
You’re welcome Carol and Marilyn.
Welcome to my blog Marilyn. It’s great to have you here and to know that you’re enjoying the images. 🙂
This art is adorable! Reminds me of a simple Valentine I would have passed out as a kid!!!
Adorable! I love these types of Valentines – reminds me of my childhood! Thank you!
I’m glad you like it Ellen and Kitty!
The old Valentines bring back childhood memories for me as well. I used to love cutting out the envelopes and gluing them with the old glue that came in a bottle that was kind of shaped like a pear with a flat bottom and had a rubber top.
