Update on my Broken Shoulder – Good News!

December 29, 2014 29 Comments

I returned a short time ago from an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon and it’s all good news! I DON’T require surgery to mend my broken shoulder! I asked the doctor if I could work on graphics. I explained that most of the work is done with my right hand and a graphics tablet but I need my left hand to control a couple of the buttons on the tablet. Because it’s a low-key task for my shoulder (and my arm rests on the keyboard tray beside the tablet), he said YES, I can work on graphics! I am thrilled on both counts! Thank you for your prayers and good wishes for continued healing! 🙂

Oh, that is too bad about your broken shoulder, but good news that you don’t need surgery. When I broke mine in an accident a couple of years ago the doctor told me that surgery should be avoided unless absolutely necessary and mine healed just fine. Yes, it hurt and I had to be careful, but I could use it somewhat even though it was in a sling. So good luck to you and I’m sure all will be fine and it’s good news that you can keep on working. :0)

Thank you Elaine and Lisa. ♥ I’m looking forward to being fully recovered – and have full use of my arm again (which will require physio).

Carol, I don’t know if you’ll come back to read this but if you do, I’m happy to hear that your shoulder healed. Do you remember how long it took for your full recovery?
