This vintage catalogue advertisement includes brief descriptions and prices for several types of herbs. This old ad includes the “herb” opium poppy at 5 cents for a 20 oz. packet, 40 cents for ¼ lb. and $1.25 for 1 lb. The ad includes an illustration of bottled sage, coriander, dill, fennel and lavender and tins of broad leaved thyme, summer savory and anise. I scanned the ad from the Peter Henderson & Co. Everything for the Garden Manual, 1898. Here is a black and white clip art version of the image of herbs from the ad.
