Here is a lovely vintage butterfly (or moth?) brooch. The image is from a 1907 catalogue that describes this piece of jewelry as a fancy chatelette that could be used for a lace pin. It was gold plated with a bright polish and the cost was 11 cents, 6 for 59 cents or 12 for $1.13.
