Today was a dream-come-true miraculous day for this grandma!

Austin has been looking forward to coming to grandma’s house to enjoy a pancake breakfast since he was admitted to the hospital in mid-November. It turned out to be a pancake lunch since they weren’t able to be here until about 1:00 p.m. and Ashley helped with the cooking – but today is the day Austin came for his “pancake breakfast”! IMG_2877 copyIMG_2882 copy

What a precious face! Hearts and Valentines must have an extra special meaning for you now. I can’t help thinking of Austin when I see them. So glad to hear and see that he is doing so well. I am curious, though, about what Austin thinks of his new heart.

A total miracle. Austins’ story reminds me of how quickly life can change, to make the most of my time with my family and to try and be positive when difficulties arrive.
So happy for you all that he is making such progress. He is one very brave boy.

Yes, so precious, Dawn. It’s a pleasure and a joy to share this wonderful news with those of you who have been caring and praying for Austin along the way. 🙂

Very true Theresly. It’s so important to appreciate and enjoy our family members and friends because our lives truly can change in the blink of an eye. I wish we could go through life without any difficulties but without the difficult times I suppose we wouldn’t appreciate the good or even the normal times and, in my opinion, normal is – glorious!

    Thank you Julie. ♥
I do have a wonderful recipe for pancakes from scratch that I’ve used for many years. They’re a big hit with the family. 😉

    ♥ Sue
There is no way I would have wanted to go through this without God.
While in the hospital Austin often asked his mom to pray, his dad to pray and even asked his nurses to pray. 🙂
