We were delightfully surprised and blessed to have a very special visitor show up at our home this evening! My daughter, Christine, and her husband, Ian, brought my grandson, Austin, for a short visit as he was able to leave the hospital on a four-hour pass! In this picture with Austin is his big sister, Ashley, who is living with us to attend a year of bible school in our city.
Austin still has his PICC line in but all other lines and tubes have been removed!
Austin is scheduled to be released from the hospital on Wednesday! I never would have imagined that he would be able to come for a visit only nine days after heart transplant surgery! Thank you to each of you that have been praying for Austin!

I loved seeing this new photo of Austin! What a joy and relief it must be for you to see him up and about. What a trooper he is. He’s shown that he has the strength to handle whatever may come his way. I am amazed by his progress.

I am still overwhelmed with joy to think that Austin was here for a visit last night! While he was here, I sat beside him on the couch and carefully hugged him for many minutes. He melted into my arms as I held him. I felt so much love for God, for Austin, and from Austin, that there was no holding back the tears – tears of happiness and thankfulness.
