Ken and I went out for a bit. When we left, “our” Robin was in her nest. When we returned, she was gone. Ken peeked into the nest and discovered that she laid one egg!
I googled to learn more about robin’s nests and eggs. I learned that the female robin will lay one egg each day for a total of three to five eggs and it will take about two weeks after the last egg is laid for the eggs to begin to hatch.
I’m afraid that if I water the plant it may cool down the temperature of the nest and harm the egg(s). Or the water may make the nest damp at the bottom and I don’t know if that would be a good idea either.
