In this old song, Come Little Leaves, the wind entices the leaves to come o’er the meadows to play. The leaves put on their dresses of red and gold to dance and fly over the brown fields with the wind. When winter calls, the leaves are content to fall fast asleep in their earthy beds where the snow lays a cover lid o’er their heads.
