Here is a vintage magazine advertisement for a New Embroidery Book that presented unique ideas for Christmas Fancy Work. The book contained 130 illustrated pages, 16 new colored plates, instructions for beginners and the latest designs in doilies and centerpieces. It was available for ten cents from The Brainerd & Armstrong Co. of 146 Union Street, New London, Conn. The ad includes an illustration of a lady doing embroidery work. Above the lady is a title that reads, “Epochs of Embroidery, ITALY, 10th Century, A.D.”
Here is a black and white version of the illustration from the ad.
I scanned the original ad from the December 1900 issue of The Designer magazine.

Julie:
I don’t see the image on either your home page, or on the individual listing page.
Very curious as every other image is on your website except this one.
I don’t see a “broken link” either.
