This vintage Christmas postcard by Ellen Clapsaddle features three adorable Victorian children happily bursting through an open door from outdoors. The children have been outside gathering decorations from nature. The boy in the group is dragging in a small evergreen tree, the eldest of the two girls is carrying a large sprig of holly and berries and the baby girl is proudly waving a small piece of mistletoe.
The greeting on the card is:
Out of the snow,
With pine and with holly
We’ll trim up the house
And won’t we be jolly!
