This wonderful engraving of antique books is from The Art Journal Illustrated Catalogue, published for the proprietors, by George Virtue in London, 1851. The description from the catalogue is, “Mr. Hanicq, of Malines, has furnished a pyramid of glazed cases, containing the important and beautiful devotional books for which he is celebrated as one of the most extensive continental publishers.”
