The advertisement, for the Spring & Summer 1920 Bedell fashion catalog, features an illustration of four women in the forefront, modelling some of the latest styles of 1920, and an illustration the Spring and Summer 1920 Bedell catalogue. A row of office buildings, representing how the Bedell stores would appear if grouped together (made from actual photographs) is illustrated along the bottom of the page. The vintage fashion catalog ad states, “This beautiful catalog, fresh from the press, illustrates, describes and gives prices on all the styles well-dressed New York women will wear this season! There are many pages of beautiful color plates, showing all the Spring Shades in vogue. Revealing countless Economies and Style-Suggestions that cannot fail to interest you!”
Some sample prices are included on the page. Coats were prices from $10 – $50, Suits $15 – $65, Dresses $5 – $65, House Dresses $2 – $5, Waists (bodice of a dress, blouse or women’s shirt) $1 – $15, Millinery (hats and hat accessories) $1 – $20, Underwear $.50 – $10, and Shoes $3 – $15.
