I enjoyed creating the last two collaged paper packs with vintage ephemera pieces and antique receipts so much that I decided to design a third set. I chose two of the antique receipts I used in creating the new collaged paper pack to share with you.
The first receipt is on behalf of the Mitchell Woodbury Co. Importers of Crockery and China. The company was located on 76 to 92 Pearl Street, in Boston, Mass. On September 11, 1907, The Atherton Furniture Co., of Lewiston, Maine, purchased a 112-piece dinner set, gravy boats and additional plates for a total of $13.61. The amount was paid by check on September 23, 1907.
The second receipt is on behalf of F. W. Barry, Beale & Co., Account Book Manufacturers, Stationers & Printers. The company was located on 108 & 110 Washington St., on the corner of Elm, in Boston, Mass. On January 18, 1907, the Atherton Furniture Co., of Lewiston, Maine, purchased 3-632-4 column fillers and 1-632 index for a total of $1.15. Postage was an additional 16 cents.
I scanned these antique receipts from the originals my personal collection.
