Here are three retro valentines for children. Each valentine comes with a matching envelope. These valentines can be printed and colored, if desired. Fold lines are included to ensure the valentines fit into the envelopes. The envelopes indicate where each is to be folded.
The first valentine card features an illustration of a young boy dressed as a fireman on the left-hand side and his dalmatian puppy on the right side. Both the boy and his puppy are holding small fire hoses with water sprinkling out from the nozzles. They are putting out the “fire” around two small hearts between them. The writing “Be Mine!” is written on each heart. The message, within a red heart shape, above the boy’s heat is “My heart’s on fire”, with another message across the top of the card that reads, ““WATER” – you going to do about it!”
The matching envelope includes an illustration of the little boy holding the water hose, with water sprinkling out of the nozzle. A heart shape with the word “For” is behind the boy. Plenty of white space is included for the child to write the name of a person who they would like to gift the valentine. The boy’s dalmatian puppy is on the right side of the envelope. There are several small red hearts scattered across both sides of the envelope, including one in the puppy’s mouth.
The second valentine includes an illustration of a teddy bear photographer with a little birdie on the top of his camera. Another small bird, singing his little heart out, perched on a tree branch, is on the right side of the card. The message on the card is, “Can’t you PICTURE me – As your VALENTINE!”
The matching envelope includes illustrations of hearts, birds, and flowers. A heart shape with the word “For”, framed in a cross-hatch design is on the left side of the envelope. Space is included for the child to write the name of a person who they would like to give the valentine.
The third of the retro valentines for children features an illustration of a mother duck swimming with her two ducklings. The message on the card is, “It’s “SWAN-DER-FUL” to have a DUCKY valentine like YOU!
The matching envelope includes another illustration of the mother duck swimming with her two ducklings. On the left side of the card, behind the mother duck, is a heart with the word “For” with space to include the name of a person they would like to gift the valentine. This envelope has a red and white striped background.

These are so precious, bringing back a time when little boys wanted to be firemen. I also loved the pun in the first card, which seemed to assume children had a sufficient grasp of language to enjoy the pun. I’m not sure that’s the case nowadays
Julie J
I’m glad you like the Valentines, Sahra. ?
It is sad to watch society deteriorate.
