Here is a shabby and aged 1918 printable almanac cover. The front cover features an illustration of two women under a large tree in the field. As they are not dressed for working in the field, and there is a full cornucopia spilling onto the ground on the right side of the image, I assume there is going to be some type of celebration. It was the 93d volume of the agricultural almanac. The price was 10 cents. It was published by John Baer’s Sons Inc., of Lancaster, Pa.
The back of the 1918 printable almanac cover includes advertising for Pearlicross goods, an ad for a premium coffee by P. A. & S. Small Company of York, Pennsylvania, and a calendar for the year 1918.

You’re welcome Sahra. I romanticize the recent past (70-150 years ago) but life would have been completely different back then. I agree with you that it wasn’t all charming. ?

Julie Thank you for all the beautiful printables. I have only recently found your blog and your Esty shop too. As soon as i am able to “buy” more of anything I will be visiting your shop. (My husband and I are on a “zero spend 60 days”.) it definitely helps after the extravagance of the holidays especially because my birthday and my husband’s birthday fall just before and just after Christmas as do all of our children’s….
There is something comforting about everything vintage… feels to me like coming home, so warm and inviting. I know that it wasn’t all wonderful back then however, I believe the feeling of family togetherness was stronger… I miss that, so very much.

You’re welcome Alissa. ?
I agree that the feeling of family togetherness was stronger in the past. Even when I was a child,, we would visit my maternal grandmother’s house most weekends and other family members would often drop in while we were there. Those types of spontaneous family visits don’t generally happen these days.
Another thing I think I would like about the past is that life was simpler.
Good for you for taking on a zero spend for 60 days challenge!
