This shabby and aged vintage book page features an illustration of a branch of holly. Included on the page is the following information about the holly plant: ILEX (Holly). –Calyx 4—5-cleft; corolla wheel-shaped, 4—5 cleft; stamens 4—5; stigmas 4—5; berry round, containing 4—5 bony seeds.
I scanned the original book page from Flowers of the Field by Rev. C. A. Johns. The book was published in 1890.
Here is a black and white clip art version of the holly branch.
I’m trying something new today by offering you the black and white holly clip art in a transparent png file. Click here to save it to your computer: Branch of Holly PNG.
You will need a photo editing program such as Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to edit png images while maintaining the transparent background. There are also free photo editing software options available online, such as GIMP and PicMonkey.
