Here is a vintage poem, with an adorable illustration, by Oscar Pletsch. The poem, titled Quiet Enjoyment, is about a small dog protecting a baby boy he is in charge of. The illustration on the page features the dog paying close attention to a bird that has come near the baby. The baby, quietly enjoying his play time, is seated in a well-padded basket that is behind the dog. Â
