This lovely vintage clip art illustration includes a variety of single and double climbing roses. The roses are numbered to correspond to a transparent parchment or vellum type paper that was included in the book as an overlay to the image and which identified each rose.

I scanned the original pages from the antique book Mrs. Beeton’s Dictionary of Every-Day Gardening, circa 1896.
