This vintage Christmas postcard by Ellen Clapsaddle features an adorable Victorian boy with curly blonde hair, dressed in red, white, and blue. The boy is standing on a wooden chair at the table, making him tall enough to place a sprig of holly and berries into the centre of the baked Christmas pudding that is on the table. The message on the card is:
Christmas Greeting
A day of joy,
A year of pleasure,
Smiles without stint,
Mirth without measure.

See, we told you that if you just came in when you have the free time that this would work. We appreciate anything that you do for us and love seeing that you are still around.

Patricia, I’m happy to know you like it. 🙂
Marilyn, that is very kind of you and I appreciate it. I don’t expect it will be every day but I am planning to post a lot more vintage images in 2017. 🙂

Cool! I love looking at what you are finding.

Marilyn, my latest purchase is a ladies’ fashion book from 1842. It just arrived by courier on Friday and is now the oldest book in my collection. I’m looking forward to begin sharing illustrations from the book early in the new year.
