Here is a vintage magazine advertisement for a Remington typewriter. The ad illustrates the old year, 1896, portrayed as a feeble old man, leaving the scene with his sickle and hour glass in hand. He is looking back at the new year, 1897, portrayed as a strong, angelic baby, typing on a Remington Standard Typewriter.
