I purchased this adorable vintage Thanksgiving postcard online recently, hoping it would arrive by Thanksgiving Day celebrated in the United States last week; however, it just arrived in my mailbox today. I quickly scanned and digitally cleaned it up, hoping that some of you may still be working on Thanksgiving scrapbooking or journaling memories and will be able to use it for your projects.
The postcard features an Ellen Clapsaddle illustration of four children, one a chef, gathered around the corner of a table. The child chef is presenting a beautifully baked gigantic pie while the remaining three children, with plates in hand, are eagerly anticipating a piece of the tasty pie.
The message on the card is:
A Happy Thanksgiving
Oh sing a song of Pumpkin Pies;
And turkies roasted brown;
Thanksgiving Day is here again,
And come this year to crown.
Oh pray receive my wholesome wishes,
For well prepared Thanksgiving Dishes.

Love this! Thank you so much!
Do you have any images of recipes on recipe cards? I like to frame them and hang them in my kitchen.
Thanks for all you do!

You’re welcome, Lisa.
I created a set of typewritten recipe cards and have them for sale in my Etsy shop. I used recipes from antique books in my collection. If you would like to have a look, the set is here: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/519930633/five-old-fashioned-typed-recipes-5-x-3
