Here is a beautiful vintage illustration of a Flowering Branch of Amygdalus Communis – or flowering almond branch. I scanned the original image from the Illustrated Dictionary of Gardening – A Practical and Scientific Encyclopaedia of Horticulture, edited by George Nicholson, circa 1885.
Here is a black and white version.

Wow, this is a beautifully drawn branch. Thank you very much, I will use this.
Hi Julie,
I love both the black and white and the natural color. These are great and I already know how I can use them. Thanks for sharing both. I always love it when you provide both the original and a black and white version. So useful.
You’re welcome Peggy and Bernice. I’m happy to know you like this and will have use for it in your projects.
Julie
