This vintage engraving, by Oscar Pletsch, titled Idle features a young girl slouched in a big chair. There is an open book at her feet and a kitten playing with a ball of yarn on the floor beside her chair but the girl looks uninterested and bored.
This illustration accurately depicts the feelings of boredom I’ve been experiencing these last few days since my computer crashed and I haven’t been able to work on my graphics. Many thanks to my nephew Derek for helping me get back on track – it feels great to be back!
The illustration is from Little Folks and Little Friends by Oscar Pletsch, circa 1880.
