Here is a shabby vintage storybook page that includes an illustration of a charming pink peony lady. The page also includes the following short poem:
PEONY’S a charming lady,
She doesn’t like a spot too shady;
Likes to live out in the light,
Dressed in red or pink or white.
Here is a cleaner version of the charming Peony lady.
The page is from Flower Children, The Little Cousins of The Field and Garden by Elizabeth Gordon. The book was published in 1910.

I love this! Do you have others in your collections? This would be so darling framed in a white vintage frame… maybe a set of 4! Marilyn

I’m happy to know you all like this illustration!
Marilyn,
I own the book and there are many pages of these adorable flower children in it. I plan to upload several more in the weeks ahead. I love your idea to display a few of them in a white vintage frame.

Oh my goodness Julie – these flower children are just delightful. Thanks for offering them here on your blog and for cleaning up the image. I am in hopes to make a set of tags with them.
