Here is a shabby and yellowed vintage envelope for a misses’ or small women’s two-piece skirt pattern. The front of the envelope includes a description of the pattern, the amount of material required to sew the skirt and a sketch of the pattern pieces. The back of the envelope includes a sketch of the laid out pattern pieces and sewing instructions.

HI 🙂
I just found your vintage patterns through Pinterest! My Mother was a dressmaker (she’d be over 100 now! I can’t believe it.) and so I love anything about sewing, but also love vintage! These pattern envelopes are wonderful.
Thank you!
Bev.

Hi Bev,
I’m happy to know you like the pattern envelope. Thank you for sharing about your mom and your love of sewing and vintage. 🙂 I used to sew a lot and especially enjoyed sewing fancy dresses for my daughter when she was young.

This pattern is proof that women have put pockets in their skirts and dresses before the modern trend. And the pocket actually looks big enough to use, not a little “fashionable detail” that is barely big enough for lipstick.
