Here is a vintage magazine advertisement for a book titled Masquerade and Carnival: Their Customs and Costumes. The book was published by The Butterick Publishing Co. of New York. The ad includes an illustration of a man dressed in a Shakespearean costume and a display of a feathered fan, vase of flowers, long gloves and a face mask. The ad is from the April 1892 issue of The Delineator magazine.
