Here is a vintage catalogue advertisement for a most comfortable Morris Rocker. A special feature of this chair was the automatic reclining back. With a turn of the hand nut on the side of the chair, the back of the chair would recline to any position desired. The price of the chair was $10.35 for the artificial black leather model and $10.85 for the artificial brown Spanish leather model. The ad features an illustration of a young man, dressed in a suit and tie, seated in the chair with an open book on his lap. The image is from the 1916 Sears, Roebuck and Co. catalogue.
Here is a black and white clip art version of the image from the ad.
